Psychology-in-Action illustrations: 10 points each (total points = 40)

The purpose of the "Psych-in-Action" assignments is to have you use your creativity and insight to find real-world illustrations of some of the psychological principles you are learning about in the course. An added benefit is that the best and most creative illustrations will be selected to share with the class. You are free to find your examples of psychology principles in action from a broad range of sources: personal experiences, song lyrics, newspaper articles, art, passages or stories from literature, poems, movies, TV episodes, etc.

Psych-in-Action assignments will be due four times during the semester, once for each of the four quarters of the course materials. Each Psych-in-Action illustration should apply to one of the principles covered in the associated quarter of the course. Deadlines are listed in the "Lecture Schedule" at end of this course syllabus. For guidelines on preparing Psych-in-Action assignments:

See Psychology-in-Action Illustrations Guidelines on the PSYC105 course website (referred to on p. 1 of this course syllabus)

Extensions will not be given except for serious illness (doctor's note) or family emergency (verifiable), requested by time of deadline. Other failures to meet a deadline will result in deduction of 2 points from course points.
